In the greater Milan area, the police and authorities from Austria, Belgium, and France conducted road checks. This action was part of the European cooperation of traffic police under the leadership of the European Labour Authority ELA. In addition to the Italian State Police, the Austrian police as well as transport and labor authorities from Belgium and France were involved.
